The Village of Glenview offers a wide selection of cuisine to its residents from familiar American dishes to exotic asian influences. Francis saw a need for a sushi and teppanyaki restaurant in Glenview and like a spark, she jumped on the opportunity and started what is now, Fish on Fire. Fish on Fire fits perfectly in this location and is sure to not disappoint. The restaurant’s menu stays true to Authentic Japanese food, but also serves guests with a variety of options, such as Filet Mignon and Korean BBQ, when they are craving something slightly different.
Fish on Fire opened its doors to the public late December 2014 in a newly built area of Glenview. The restaurant has proved to be a major appealing element to this bustling food spot. The restaurant has four main areas, an open Teppanyaki section with plenty room to breathe, a cozy lunch/dinner area for a romantic setting with beautiful art and hanging exposed light, a chill and sophisticated lounge area with button tufted sofas to enjoy a cocktail or two, and a circular bar that has great views of the flat screen TVs.
Word is spreading about the restaurant, in a favorable way, and in many mediums such as Facebook. A customer recently said in a review,
“So wonderful to have a place like this in Glenview! Food and service were wonderful, we will definitely be back!” – Stacey Luce-Avalos
& another said,
“What a wonderful time I had with my family. A very warm place with top notch service. My kids loved the show at the hibachi. The food? First class. Thanks Fish on Fire!!” – Sam Simon.
